Step 1
Connect mainboard to the power supply.
Step 2
Power supply reads 0.04A current going through the circuit.
It means some component on the circuit is shorted or there's a power leakage somewhere on the board.
Step 3
We use this Seek thermal camera to scan the device for hot spot.
Plug it into an iPhone and open the app.
Step 4
It's not too hard to spot the Audio IC is heated to 30 C Degree.
Step 5
Change IC to fix the issue.
Step 6
Hook the power supply back to motherboard and check.
